Alida Mitchell

Biography

Alida began her career in public practice in South Africa in 1998 and began working with a national firm in Canada in 2003, earning her designation in 2005. She has extensive experience providing audit and assurance services to clients ranging from non‑profit organizations, private companies and start‑up companies to large global corporations.

Alida joined Baker Tilly Nova Scotia’s predecessor firm in 2012 as a senior manager and was promoted to partner in January 2017. She leads the Audit and Advisory team and is a member of the Practice Inspection Committee of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Nova Scotia, ensuring practices adhere to accounting and assurance standards in Nova Scotia.
